Web Variations

The instructions above are to mark a full web. You may wish to mark a partial web, such as a half- or quarter web. To do this, place the center point in a corner or off to one side of the background. Measure as if making a full web, but mark only the lines you need on the background fabric.

You may also wish to make your web a bit different. There are several ways to do this.

• Try angling the main lines of the web at slightly more or less than 45° apart from each other.

• Add more lines between each of the main ones.

• Make inside lines significantly crooked.

• Leave a few of the internal lines out, as if there were a hole in the web.

• Randomly add a few extra internal lines.
